knitting club tonight
tonight I am off to the first ever meeting of Carolyn's knitting club.. I have been given special permission to bring along my crocheting instead.. but just in case there is some dispute I have packed my needles too.
I am crocheting a rug.. I am making many granny squares and plan on sewing them all together.. it will be fabulous.. in many wonderful shades of blue and some purple and green too.. lovely.. I just love activites that involve craft..
I remember once some guy Phil was doing soem work for.. or he was doing work for Phil.. can't remember but he came over and I was sewing clothes.. anyway on the way out he said somthing along the lines of "its good to use your hands and be creative". at the time I thought he was a bit of a nutter as I was making a shirt from a pattern so I didn't really think it was being creative.. but now that I think about the whole process it is rather creative.. i mean there is choosing the pattern, the fabric, making any adjustments.. using buttons, zips, cottons, and trims to make things more adventurous.. so yes i see my self as being creative.. I just looked up creating at the dictionary and it means to have the ability or power to create.. so now I have to look up create.. means to cause to exist, to bring into being.. well.. I certainly create and am therefore creative.. hoorah!
