Lucky Dip baby
Yesterday Phil and I went off to the Ultrasound.. it was very exciting.. I wa a bit nervous.. as this is the one where they check all the body bits to make sure you are having a healthy child.. well we are.. hoorah! all the bits are in the right spot doing the right things.. ie blood is moving throught the 4 chambers of the heart.. the baldder fills, there are 2 kidneys, etc...
but the baby is very shy.. it was all curled up at the bottom, there was all this nice empty space for it to spread out in.. but no.. it had its ankles crossed and was holding onto its feet, and had its feet and arm up above its head.. so basically it was a ball.. This made it quite difficult for the women performing the scan to measure and count all the nesecarry bits.. we were there for about 45 mins.. I had to get up and go and empty my bladder in the hope that moving around would make the baby stretch out.. no such luck.. so we still don't know what gender the little tyke is.. I will be a huge surprise on the day.. oohh golly..
