dr meeting
Thomas, Phil and I went along to the hospital this morning to meet with Dad's Dr.. They were running late and very apologetic about not running on time.. which was good.. I really wasn't expecting them to be on time.. but obviously they were..
basically they wanted to chat to us to ensure we understood the severity of dad's illness.. they are not able to give timelines on things but explained that there are a variety of things going on, and that even though he seems to be more alert since he came into the hospital, his health has not improved...
the type of cancer he has is slow moving, however because of the place in which it is positioned (base of neck) it is likely to spread into the brain.. (he complained of seeing double this morning and that is a sign that it might be close to the brain) they are going to monitor his condition and do what they can to keep him happy and pain free..
he has been quite sad last night and today.. I think he has realised that he is not going to be getting better and going home..
I am not sure what we need to do for him..
