I was reading the RACV magazine and there was an article on car sharing.. and it sounds like a great idea.. being someone who lived inner city and ended up selling my car because f lack of use I really think these are great ideas..

its like a library.. you book in advance the time you need the car and then go to pick it up from its local spot.. drive around and then bring it back.. amazing.. you pay varioius membership and usage rates depending on all sorts of stuff..
and you don't have to pay for petrol.. there is goget and flexicar ... Hey Ya, Flexicar has a spot in your street!!

anyway I don't think these people will be moving to ringwood any time soon.. but it dosen't matter I now have to transport two small children... well best be off to bed.. we are swimming tomorrow..

The Big Day

Congratulations to Andrew and Allira (The other Mrs A Haeusler) I can open her mail now.. hee hee..

well the wedding was lovely.. we arrived at the windy place and the views were fab.. there was no one on the beach.. which was great as there was lots of car parks.. shame it cost like $7 to park and we only had $3 change so had to come back later with mrore money.. the wind made just fabulous waves.. oohh by the way the wedding was at the pier hotel in port melbourme.. during the ceremony the spirit of tasmania came into dock..

Allira looked just beautiful in her dress.. it had a delicious ruffly, twirly thing on the back.. and she had the most amazing pearl necklace..

so the ceremony was over quite quickly and here were some photos to take and then food drinks and more drinks in the case of Philby and Ya...

early on in the night Ya metioned how he couldn't have to many beverages as he had to catch public transprt home.. I said you know we could drop you off on the way and in a flash he was off to the bar for a refill..

over the course of the night I saw Phil consume countless amoutns of alcohol.. Ya was encouraging him to no end and then there was my brother thomas downing more and more glasses of beer with them both... I myself had lots of water and 2 glasses of raspberry lemonade.. just lovely... there were shots towards the end of the night .. thanksfully ya took Phils second one ..

we ended up getting a call from our friend wh was baby sitting the girls to shcek if we were coming home soon as young Felicity had decided that she didn't wasnt to drink a bttle and would prefer to scream the house down.. so to Phil's dismay we left (the party was like almost over, andrew and allira had just left and the bar was shutting in like 10 mins.. ) and itwas a great adventure on the way home.. we dropped ya off at the round abour near his place.. Phils was so upset to realise that he had to get out of the car and open the door for Ya because of the child safety lock.. he nearly fell into the gutter doing this.. .well on the freeway hoome I had to pull over to the emergency lane so that Phil could throw up out the car.. then not long off the freeway I had to pull over again fr mre vmiting.. (side nte here the o key seems quite sensitive on the computer.. I keep having to go back and put them in.. )

so Finally we made it home and Felicity was sleeping in Jasmine's arms.. she awwoke after a few mins and was very happy.. no sign of cranky screaming.. Phil stumbled into bed... so i gave Felicity a drink and sent her off to bed..

In the morning Claire got out of bed, cae out into the hall way and rather quietly was calling out for Jasmine.. I called out to her and said, we were in bed.. she was very excited and came running in to jump on Phil... hee hee hee.. he was amazingly tgeher for a hung ver person.. any way it was a great night.. Andrew did a fabulous speech.. everyone was just amazed.. it eas wonderful...

pressies

We went alng today to the present opening of Andrew and Allira.. They got some lovely things for their weddding.. we gave them pillows.. might seem rather boring but a got some yummy feather ones and some wool combo ones.. it was great that they can be machine washed..

so they got things like small appliances, cutlery, towels, glassware, crockery, books, and other gadgets.. it was fabulous.. Andrew was so excied that he finally got a mandolin..

ooohhh yes the wedding was fabulous.. that will have to be another entry..

Allira's hens night was great fun..

Well as the title suggests we had a lovely time at the hens night.. it was really great that it was about 15 people or so, as I was really able t chat lots to a bunch of them.. it also makes it exciting that at the wedding I will know a few more faces.... i think thats the best bit about pre wedding things like kitchen teas and hens nights.. you can get together and meet some of your friends friends..

Hilton drove us in as there was anticapated to be little parking, so both Sabine and I had some lovey drinkies.. I was reminiciting that I haven't drunk that much in like oohh perhaps 3 years.. probably before i was pregnant with Claire.. who knows.. it was very exiting.. I didn't go out partying with the rest of the group but came home to bed like a good little mummy..

I had no idea what to wear... it was so humid and i didn;t really have many things to wear cos the colthes weren't drying cos of the rain.. i have 4 skirts and they were all in the wash... bummer.. so i wore and old one and some new sandals and a t-shirt.. wveryone else was much better dressed up.. oohh well...

oohh there was a lovely stripper that came along.. I have never seen one before and that was quite interesting.. my head was starting to hurt from smiling and laughing so much... poor Allira.. i think I would have died from embarresment..

It;s just fabulous.. Allira is so excited about getting married.. its so mice to see the bride so happy and grateful for their fabulous hubby to be.. Andrew is just great so i know they will have the best time.. i see those bridezilla programs and the brides are just so concerened about the day and the party and them looking good that they seem to have forgotton that they are supposed to be in love with this person and putting down in writting a commitment..

oohh I forgot.. Allira's bestest friend Tara made her a t-shirt and it has a picture of a naked man and his enormous penis.. its just awful... apparently its like 30 cm;s long.. revolting.. but when they were about 14 they found this picture in a womens day magazine and cut it out and put it on the fridge at Allira's and then one day allira's mum cracked it and told them to take it down and Tara has kept it all these years.. so funny.. apparently there was a story to go with it about the terrible things of plasic surgery and how bad it was..

sticky .. blah

its all sticky.. everything i touch is sticky.. perhaps my hands are sticky.. well maybe not... its like only 26 degrees in the house but all humid and horrible.. I haven't been doing any cleaning for ages cos its all horrible being hot and now sticky... this is worse than hot cos the washing gets rained on and takes ages to dry...

yesterday i thought it ws going to be fabulous as it ws sitll 22 degrees at 11 am and there was lots of rain.. but then the rain eased off and the temp went up.. blah ...

hopefully this rain is helping with bushfires... I haven't been watching the news like normal.. i hope there will be some relief.. its so strange, we have bushfires, heat wind and then rain and flood warnings.. just as well it didn't rain that much here..

hhmm.. i hope its not hot or grossly sticky for the wedding next week.. i would really love to feel delicious instead of ggrr..

Rolling over.. what fun!

hhmm it was 2 days ago now that Felicitywas rolling over.. I still haven'nt seen it yet. but i will soon..
I was having a nice snoozzle in bed and Felicity decided she didn't believe in snoozes.. so she got up to play with dad and Claire..

Phil tells me that he had put her o nher back under her toys like usual, and he went off to do some dishes.. she was making very grumbly noises and hought it was time to go back to bed and he came over and saw that she was on her tummy... she really hated being on her tummy and starts crying in like seconds.. so she really dosen;t spend much time on her tummy.. she needs to practise some more..

she is also very good at pivoting now.. so you place her facing the couch and come back and her legs are now facing the couch.. its fabulous... she really loves to roll up onto her side and grab all her toys.. she gets a bit annoyed as she tries desperatly to stuff them all i nto her mouth.. she needs to work on her hand eye co-ordination a bit more..

hot hot hot

Its hot.. like really hot.. like 42 degrees yesterday.. well today its only 31 degrees hot .. but it was mega mega hot yesterday.. our house was feeling really cool compared to the outside temp and it was like 28 degrees.. however last the temp only went down to of say about 27 so our place didn't actually cool off.. the only person who had bedding last night was Felicity and that was so she couldn't bump her arms into her head and wake herself up.. the poor little mite was rather sweaty this morning..

but to help us cool off we went round to the kimptons swimming pool abiut 5 pm last night.. it was still 40 at this time and I had had enough of the hot.. oohh swimming pools are so fabulous.. oohh yes the kimptons are in queensland having a lovely vacation, so Helga let us in to run around the house in our wet togs.. Claire was havign the best time and was actually shivering after a while.. she really wanted to stay in but was cold cold.. Felicity had a great time after the initial shock of the water being so cold.. really the water wasn't that cold.. its just that compared to how hot we were already it was cold.. so after a few yells and cries she acclamatised (hhmm spelling)..

Phil has now decided that if he has to go to work he would like a pool to come home to.. I just have to get him to go to work so we can afford a house with a pool!

Today Phil and Simon are repairing things around our place.. There was a fence post that had been dangling for almost a year,.. apparently it is now concreted into the ground.. the front deck that had started to rot has been ripped up and should be newly laid up by the time I get home.. hoorah! we won't fall down into the pit of death.. Claire will be super duper excited as she tells me all the time when she's in the sand pit (its right next to the deck) that its broken and not to walk there..

yes Claire is off to Day care.. she was excited as "Asher might be there, maybe holidays finished" and he was.. she was a bit stunned though and kind of hesitated at the door, but Asher came over and said Hi Claire.. so i'm sure she will have a fabulous time..

Felicity and I are hanging out at Sabine's.. I got to have a mini erst on the couch (which I wouldn't haev got at home because of all the noisy work) and there are some lovely air conditioners keeping us cool.. Felicity has just woken up and can see me.. oohh dear I must have been typing too loud.. I am hoping she will go back to sleep.. la la la

She has been wearing socks on her hands as she keeps scrathing herself.. oohh gotta go..

went shopping .. got a pretty dress for the weddings.

Margy came over in the morning and we were all set for a big shopping adventure.
Andrew and Allira are getting married in a couple weeks and then a couple weeks after that my cousin Allison is marrying her fella Justin.. the second wedding is listed as formal.. so we were off to final a fabulous outfit for both..

before Margy came over I rummaged through the shoe boxes again to check out the situation before we hit she shops.. I have a couple of shoes that are just beautiful but are too small.. i hva been unable to throw them away whenever i do a de clutter of the cupboard... i donated a whole lot of black shoes mosly for work suit type stuff a while ago...

so anyway Margy has one shoe size below me, so she tried them on and decoded that they fit and was very happy to take them home to her collection.. I feel much better giving them to margy.. she will definately wear them.. and if not she has a bunch of friends and family with big feet to share with..

so we hadn't even left the house and Margy has a ocllection of shoes.. hoorah!

we went toff to myer at Knox to have a look around.. they have a much bigger shipping complex than ringwood and its not as exclusive as at chadstone.. anyway wefound so many black things, stretchy things, and summer dresses, but not really anything for a formal wedding in a nice colour.. I liek colour.. I really can;t see the point of wearing black.. or grey and I'm really not much of a white person.. so after a bit we headed out of the myer and into a few other stores... we really hit the jackpot as Noni B... Dresses galore, heaps of sizes, colour and designs.. very very exciting.. I tried on heaps .. heaps and heaps.. the staff were super helpful .. Margy had been my official "put dresses back on hangers helper" till we got these ladies helping..

So there was a dark blue number with a starry brooch and a red number with glitter and a green number that I got stuck in cos it was had cross over strappy things.. and there was a lurid pale purple thing that ths shop people kept telling me thy liked but was blah.. so in the end I got a strapless lightish blue/aqua iwth bead work, kind of like vines and a gathered stomach bit and fabulous long flowing fullness.. As you can tell I am not very good at describing things... like waists and stlyes and lengths and rouching ... hhmm i think I know what rouching is.. oohh well..

so I will be feeling very beautiful for this do and the shoes I have will be right and hhmm hair.. I will hae to do somethignn with hair..

Bear

Claire bear has really been fabulous lately too..

she went back to child care this week.. she was super dooper excited.. she just loves it.. as in very excited runnign out the door.. she has been moved up i nto the 3 year room.. the word is that she is fitting in nicely with all the kids.. she is the youngest.. the only down side is that her boyfriend is not back yet and is still on holiday... so when ever you ask what she did at day care she says ' asha on holidays' .. hopefully he will be back next week and then we can hear about the other things that ahppen ..

she also has progressed a great deal in the last few weeks with her speech.. today she was getting the F in felicity.. that is amazing cos so far she had a little sister Licity.. she also can rememb er things form day t day and hold a conversations bout things.. its fabulous.. ongoing from that she actually talks on the phone now..

this week she had a conversation with grandma about what she had been doing.. listeneing reponding and aslking questions.. its so exciting...

somtimes she is like a broken record and asks the same questions over and over again.... I realise that she says actually a lot.. I realise that this is because I don;t want to be saying NO all the time.. so when she says eomthign incorrect I say 'actually thats a truck' or whatever ... it is so much nicer that saying no .. especially when she is still learning he names of everything its kind of negative to say no all the time...

hhmm what else has Claire been up to?
she loves to climb at the park.. she is just awesome at climbing up on high things that kind of freak me out.. we went to play with some of the guys form our mothers group the other day.. its was like a mad house at out friends.. the whole place had been ttashed. there was toys and food all over the place.. then all the kids started to get cranky and we had to take them home to bed..

Missy moo

Well the poor little munchkin seems to get excema (hmm spelling) and when its hot weather it seems to be worse.. today she has all red marks like sunburn in all the grooves behind her legs and elbows and at the wrist and anle joints. its yucky.. is only she wasn;t so chubby..

she is becoming quite a little talker.. there are some sqeals and shrieks.. it's so adorable.. she really listens to all the things you say and likes to put her own tid bits in.. its so exciting to have her progressing along and we get so many fabulous smiles now..

its so lovely to have some one who just loves to watch you talk and she watches everything that you do..

so what has she been soing lately..

she chews on her hands now and grabs anything she can get to shove into her mouth..
she reaches out to grab the toys on her dangly frame..
she has started pivoting around on her back again... I had her on the floor today and she was upside down when i came back after hanging out the washing..
she really wants to scratch up her head, legs and tummy, where all the itchy bits are.. so today we had socks on the hands.. it was really cute.

she really is a great happy baby...
I am really amazed as she is still only doing 4 feeds a day.. but she seems to be growing and happy.. she is prety chubby.. so i shouldn't have to worry about it.. she usually sleeps a 12 hour night.. its amazing.. she started sleeping 12 hours from about 6 weeks.. for a breast fed baby this is somewhat remarkable..

we went to say bye bye to the frenchies the other day and Grandma came in the car with us. I was sitting in the back seat between the girls... whenever I looked over at Felicity I got a wonderful smile, and often a squeal or babble.. but Claire, well she was so sweet, she kept patting my knee and holding onto my arm with a delighted grin on her face saying mummy sitting next to me.... it made me feel so special..
