puzzles..

Claire loves puzzles... she has a selection of them and spends a great dela of time doing and redoing them.. this week Sabine gave her a jigsaw (most of the ones we have are kind of like match the picture, or make a picture out of seven oddly shaped bits..) awell this is a 20 piece deluxe puzzle.. it has real bits and holes.. I wonder if those prong on the puzzle actually have names.. well to the point... She loves it.. adn can spend more than 20 minutes doing and redoing the puzzle.. she has now memorised the picture and so when she is presented iwth a middle piece and has yet to start on the sides, she carefully places it into the spot in which it belong and then takes the next peice.. its amazing..

I purchased her another on on the aquarium excursion yesterday.. she chose an octopus picture.. she has done it numerous times.. this one seems a little more difficult as there is a lot of background that can be similar. but she just perseveres and eventually gets it done..

Felicity is now able to stand up at all the little tables and pull off the puzzle pieces.. it is driving Claire crazy... she will just have to move to higher ground..

fishies

YEsterday was Samantha's first birthfday.. and we were off to visit the aquarium with the birthday girl.. it just so happens that Mick's best friend and lady were off to dive with the sharks at the aquarium.. so along we went.. very exciting... we ended up taking the train from box hill to the city.. according to Elissa the whole city was filled with cars.. no idea why.. but we made it.. and it made it even more exciting for Claire.. she loves loves loves trains..

so we saw the fish and the swimmers and well after about 15 mins Claire really didin;t care too much.. but she was pretty good... i was a but freaked out about the jelly fish.. eeww.. they are so creepy and blah!

mmmm... hyacinths.. hhmm spelling. ..

there is a yummy yummy smell lingering in our kitchen, dining.. its the yummy hyacinths.. in fact its only one and a hlaf of them.. they smell so wonderful.. it almost covers the sounds of Felicity screaming in the background.. i feel all sweet and delicious.. oohh... yummy.. its so exciting..

i just wennt and cuddled the misses and sang some songs.. i think she is off to sleep now..

in previous years I have just let all the spring flowering bulbs go in the garden.. but apparently iif you don;t take the flower heads off they spend lots of energy trying to seed and so the flowers the following year aren;t as great.. i learnt that a few months ago and was kind of bummed out that i didn;t dead head... so now i am going to cut some to put into the house and then leave the rest for the garden.. its so exciting to come out into the yard and have these strong green shoots popping up out of the soil all over the palce..

a little bit of freedom..

last night I went out with some friends to see Philby's latest show.. it was lovely.. Sabine came over to watch the girls and even got an extra girl from oe of the neighbours who also came to the show.. it was so exciting.. i went out about twenty past seven and got home about 20 past eleven.. so much excitement.. i chatted to people and had a beverage... there was some lovely music and actions... even though the story was a bit up and down emotionally.. it was ace.. i got to see my clever monkey talk on stage and have actions.. it was really ace.. afterwards i hung around a bit and chatted with the friends a bit more and then chatted to the cleverest philby ever.. everyone seemed so happy and excited.. all the cast and production team were getting congratulations from so many people... it seemed so strange to have people coming up and congratulating philby... I guess I am accustomed to him just being in the band or the rehearsal pianist.. i was a little confused at first but after a while it made me feel all proud and get some nice warm fuzzies in the tummy..

so after all that I came home feeling all fabulous and wondrous.. i really think its so important to get out of the house and spent some time with your partner and not having to worry about anything... it makes you appreciate everything.. hoorah for us..

tick, tick... boom!

oohh.. Philby is so clever.. last night i saw tick, tick... boom! it was very exciting.. i really enjoyed it.. and I got to see Philby on stage saying real things.. amazing.. he can do it all.. hoorah! for the musical director.. well done darlink!

The whole show was ace.. the songs were great and the acting was amazing.. i don;t know how they did so well... lots and lots and lots of lines.. \

I just went to the toilet.. oohh what a relief.. just as well it wasn;t a long wait..

5 teeth and kneeling everywhere..

The young lady is havong a great time.. she crawls over to the ty basket, washing basket, claire little couch , coffee table, well pretty much anything in which she can pull up on.. she gets the arms up and onto her knees then she drags the knees up close.. and she spends ages .. just kneeling there.. i like it when she is at the folding basket.. it can keep her entertained for ages.. she pulss things out one at a time.. perhaps has s nibble on the item if she feels like it then piffs it onto the floor.. things she taeks woth her right hand go on the left and vice versa.. after a while i go over and put them all back into the basket and she goes again..

she used to after a whie of kneeling up just fling herself to the ground.. but this resulted in lots of screaming, so the next move was to hold on and cry until someone came over to help.. again ending in loud noises... I tred to show her how to hold on with one hand and get the other onto the floor to take the weight off.. and well i think she can do that sometimes now.. but it depends how clode she has got to tht climable item..

she can sit up for a while now if i put her on her bottom.. she started off just sliding off to the side.. but now she can sit for a while.. the problem is she can;t really get out of that position.. which is why I didn;t really out her into it much.. so at the moment she sort of rolls over and face plants.. sometime she remember to get the arms up..

she has been sock for a bout a week.. it was really exciting last night and today cos she is obviously feeling better.. there was exploring at nana and poppas .. ther was bopping up and down and lots of bah bah bah noises.. she was also into raspberries and kisses.. oohh yeah.. she will be talking in no time..

I NEED to go to the toilet..

while phil is off at the hardware store i am trying not to pretend that there is water everywhere.. oohh dear.. i think i had better watch some telly .. ggrr..

Phil and Claire went to the music shop a week ago and claire came home with her own ukulelee.. no idea how to spell that.. and guess what.. yep .. its pink..

I asked Phil if perhaps he could haev bought another colour, but he tells me he had a blue one.. it was all picked out and on the counter.. then her eyes fell upon the pink one.. and she had to have it.. i can't get the pink out of her.. .

so Claire is very excited about having her own 'guitar', just like uncle simon.. she like to sing baa baa black sheep and twinkle twinkle little star.. she even counts herself in.. 1, 2, 3, baa baa black sheep etc..

Oh my gods

Yep... I said it too after Claire came out with it the other dat.. hhmm.. not good.. I have managed to get it over to Oh my goodness.. hopefully that is a tad better..

she aso like to pick up the phine press some buttons and say things like:
Hello dad
Please bring me some dinner
I want large fries, small fries six nuggets and some chips
okay thank you..

so yes.. I don;t go through the maccas drive through often..

Happy Birthday Nana

Its the 87th Birthday today of Phil's Nana... we went around for a lovely lunch today and she was just as fun and exciting as ever...

Claire, Felicity and I went to the shops to get her a nice present .. so we went off to the body shop for some lovely items.. i finfallyl decided on a lavender bodty wash and a lavender moisturiser.. they smell so so so yummy.. we then popped into the chocolate box and got a small box of assorted cream filled chocolates.. yum.. then we went past the flowers ans just had to stop for som pink tulips.. oohh we also looked in the pet shop at the puppies.. but we didn;t get her one of those.. so it was very exciting..

lunch was okey.. we chatted and tesetd out nana new recliner chair.. very exciting.. ggr... can't really concentrate at the moment.. Claire went to the to toilet before.. she had got out of bed and was in there. so i think she was just trying to get out of going to bed.. so she washed her hands and whie she was doing that i took her seat off the loo and realised that she had filled the toilet up with papre.. this had then become lodged wth water when she flushed it.. ggrr... Phil has just come back from opening upt for rehersals and now he is dealing with it... well he now says he is off to the hardware store to get some tools.. perhaps a plunger.. hw had the pleasant task of sticking his hands down there.. you no the crazy thing is, the only reason i noticed that it was blocked was because i needed to go ... i can just imagine me coming past in the middle of the night and sitting down and getting all wet .. eww.eeeww... i think i need a nap.. no more drinks for me..

more teeth..

I cant remember what we were up to last, but there is now 4 definates and another just on the horizon... the latest one is the top right eye tooth.. very exciting.. perhaps that is what creates the cranky grumbly baby that suddenly appeared recently..

well she also has a dint on her chin.. that only occured today.. she is really into crawling over to anythign that she can climb up onto.. she was hoiking herslef up onto a plastic tub (that happens to be full of wool, and about 50 crocheted granny squares) and after a while she gets tired and goes plonk onto the box.. much easier when she is climbing on cushions as plonking wont hurt her..

went into see the screaming munchkin.. well got some teething gel onto her gums.. but hhmm.. nnot surre that is helping at all.. there seems to be lots of screaming still..

OOHH MY GODS!!

she bit me the other day.. ooowww... i have only just recovered.. that was the day she didn;t want to feed at all.. oohh dear... what is going on.

brain ahce..

oohh my little brain ia feeling rather tired.. Claire is making noises, that usually are quite normal and not bothersome, but today.. oohh dear .. it hurts.. its hard not to get too cranky as she really isin;t doing anything wrong.. but oohh dear... inside quiet voices please.. she just asked me "What should we do mum?" she often asks "What should i be doing?"

hhmm i think i need to provide some more entertainment..

Felicity s in bed crying.. she was crying on the floor too ... she needs to go to sleep.. it will make it all better... I'll just check on her..
