lost 10 cents today

Today we went to visit my cousin in the hospital as she has a new baby.. very exciting..

so we had done all the visiting and had to pay for the parking.. It was like $4 and I had $4 in change, except some was 5c pieces.. so at the end when i needed ten cents the machine would not take them. There were so people in the waiting room and I asked if anyone had 10 cents.. and so they all get looking in their pockets and someone gave me 20 cents.. I got Claire to give the 10 cents back to the man, but he said oh you keep it and he also picked up a 5cents off the floor and gave it to Claire.. we thanked him and talked about putting it into the money box when we got home..

so off to the car we went .. all packed up and everyone in.. I need to call elissa as I missed her before.. so I called her, said about 2 sentences when Claire started to make a funny noise, I looked into the back and Claire was all red in the face looking rather scared. I knew at once what had happened.. She ate it of course.. She started making dry retching noises, and oohh my gods there was a horrible feeling ...

so i got her out of the car and se leant over to try and get it back, but since she had been talking to me there really wasn't much we could do. She and I were kind of freaked out about it.. I got her a drink of water and nothing adverse seemed to happen so I assumed she was okay... we had a chat about eating things and where they go and that soon it will come out the other end..

we all got back into the car and on our way home.. she fell asleep and all seems fine... when she awoke at home she was all freaked aout and started asking if it had come out yet.. hhmm i think we will have to wait a few more days...

so after all that excitement there may be some more to come.. hhmm I wonder if we have to go to the dr.. nt sure... better .. just in case..

Felicity Head butting.. yes Head butting..

So Felicity has found a new hobby.. banging her head on the floor boards.. nice!

She came right up to me yesterday and was banging her head on the floor right at my feet. I told her no , but really what was I thinking.. Of course that's not going to stop anything, So I picked her up and put her onto the kiddy couch.. thinking she might get distracted and go play with something else.. but no.. she crawled right back over and banged her head on the floor.. in fact it was so hard she cried lots.. oohh dear...

I am not sure what I am going to do with her.. She hits, pushes, pulls hair, climbs on the furniture, eats crayons, chalk and sand.. She is nothing like Claire.. I think we have many adventures to come..

Today we went to the park and she was climbing steps and going down tall slides.. getting off at the end and going back to do it again.. not to mention scaring the pants off her mother.. at least she was happy and having fun.. there was huge grins on her face..

time out for Felicity

Felicity had a time out today... yep.. she is like 13 months.. but you know when just kept whacking Claire in the head.. hhmm it was pretty interesting.. she stood there for almost 40 sec i think.. then she wandered off.. phil put her back and she stayed a bit longer.... hhmm she is so much more ggrr than Claire..

yesterday we were eat a friends and she kept eating chalk.. so eventually i picked up al the chalk and put it up on a hight shelf.. well you should have seen the tears.. there was crying, screaming and calling for daddy.. she forgot about it after like 3 mins.. but it was amazing.. she really has some attitude.. I think we are going to have our hands full in a few months..

too tired... have been talking on the phone and playing online scrabble.. oohh I am a silly head.. I added heaps of pictures to fb the last few days.. that involved staying up late.. oohh dear.. what a nuffer I am..

40 on the speed limit sign

so Claire really likes to sing.. she sings all the time and is often singing about what we are doing or what is happening at that time.. one of her new favourites is '40 on the speed limit sign' she signs it in the car and wants me to join in.. but she gets cross if i get the words wrong..

at night when she goes to bed she we read some stories.. and then Phil will usually sing a song or two.. the popular ones are usually B.I.N.G.O and moo moo jessie cow (aka baa baa black sheep), but lately there have been some requests for 40 on the speed limit sign.d

B.In.G.O is now being sung.. and there is a mummy that has a dog riding on a donkey.. hhmm new verse perhaps..

Claire likes to ask us things form time to time.. at present her and Phil are drying the dishes.. its hilarious..

Dad you splashded me.. I have to dry myself off...

Ohh yes Phil had to smell the sippy part of Felicity's cup.

The Cat Incident

So I think I may have traumatised my children for life..hhmm yes lets begin with what we had been doing last thursday ..

we had enjoyed a lovely day of baking.. we made carrot cake, 2 in fact , 1 for my friend Chantelle who had a baby and also for Nana and Poppa who had celebrated their 63rd wedding anniverssary the day before.. so we made a heart and a kugle... very exciting.. during the process Claire was putting away the eggs when she dropped the carton on the floor. so then we had o make some cookies and a sponge to use up all the eggs that were cracked but not broken.. otherwise i was going to have to toss them.. so more baking.. oohh dear...

after hours of this and getting a bit grumpy i decided to take the cakes to their respective owners and also visit Jjaki who had a baby just the week prior. so first was Jaki.. I had already packed a bag of pressies for the new baby girl.. I still don;t know what name they settled on.. oohh well.. so around i drove.. and this is where the cat capers occured. so they have a long drive and are the house at the back. I parked and cos i really wanted the crazy kids to not jump around too much and let me get some rest soon, I left them in the car with the door open so that could get some fresh air. I ran inside dropped off the cookies for the new big brother and pressies for the new baby and then dashed off back out to the car as I could here the noises inside.. so i would have been inside for like 2-3 mins.. thinking back i did see a black cat in the drive when i came down.. but i didn;t relaly think anything of it..

so I can outside to SCREAMING!! and TEARS streaming down faces.. I kinds of had a freak out.. and was thinking that they were so upset that I had left them in the car.. so I went to get in and console them when I nearly sat on a cat.. yes that cat was in the car.. and that was the cause of the screaming..

oohh my goodness I felt so so so bad.. oohh yes.. Claire was so hysterical that she could barely speak.. I asked if the cat had touched her and she said no.. so i guess that is okay.. but she did have a dream the other night and woke up all traumatised that the cat was in the car..

we have had a big discussion about how the cat thinks Claire is so ace and that is just wanted to be her friend ..every so often she says stuff like "cats like kids to play with"

I want a new house!

Rach is going to get one.. its just so ace and exciting.. I am so so so jealous.. but she goes to work.. so she can have one.. not like me who stays home and spends money on things like food and water and electricity..

hhmm we should all get new houses... i think that sounds ace.. another friend is going to also build a brand new place.. again, I am so jealous.. she is so so so excited.. me too.. perhaps we should get real jobs and buy some fun things.. prehaps.. I can get some more piles of cash from .. umm.. prehaps the lotto people.. not sure where else I can get some..

hhmm can you spend your super somehow.. hee hee..

Felicity walking

So it has been like 3-4 weeks and she stared with about 6 steps and i was looking the other way .. but since then she has been doing lots of walking.. she has been going like up to 12 steps.. it is very exciting.. she is having the best time.. soon she will be runnng...
