festivities...

There has been so much happening the last few days.. I should probably have some different posts about each thing..

ahh well.. here goes..

My 30th.. oh yes i am officially old... It was very exciting... There was lots of preparations.. cake making, food chopping, courtyard cleaning and of course praying for good weather. Considering we are in the longest drought of like a bunch of years and then in December, summer, it rains heavily for 4 days straight, I should be forgiven for thinking that I could have an outdoors party. I must admit that I normally go to the zoo for my birthday.. (oohh that reminds me i need to pay for my friends of the zoo membership, it expired a month ago) so this year being the big three zero we had to have a home party.. I had booked a face painter.. fantastic!!! she is awesome.. Drop Megan a line if you want to look as good as I did.. we had filled the fish pinata with lollies, I had got the bubble machine out of the cupboard, I was all set to hide the chocolate coins in the garden... and well I did have to refrigerate the cake the night before as it was so humid, that the cream in the middle was starting to squish out the sides.. i had to reinforce with toohtpicks too..

anyway we had a fabulous time.. the paper chains Claire and I had been making for the last few weeks were magically hung by Phil while I was making myself beautiful...

Found it!

We got a call this morning form hte in laws... they had discovered this morning that there was some thing in the toilet.. small black disc thingy.. that didn;t flush away... so we think it was the ten cent peice that Claire ate a couple weeks ago...

she "is so Happy " that the coin has been found..

I am not sure what was done with the offending piece.. oohhh well... just glad to know that it came out in the end...

work.. yes work... i mean for me..

It appears that I will be going to work soon..

I am in a bit of denial.. .I am a bit excited and a bit nervous.. hhmm as a friend of mine said "The girls will be fine, but will you be okay?"

its true.. the girls will be fine.. in fact Phil said last night it will be good for Felicity to go to day care and get some discipline... hee hee hee... as if we are the most away with the faeries parents who let our children roam free...

but getting up each day and going into work on the train.. and all that jazz.. Margy has already requested Friday night drinks!! Phil says it can;t be every week... how rude...

I will give out some more details when it is really really finalised.. .

at the moment I will be starting 4 days a week from 7th Jan... ohh my gods... I will be working with people I know whoever.. that should be nice..
