Pikey pones (AKA Pine cones)

At Kinder the kids have been making craft projects from pine cones. Claire is convinced they are called Pikey pones. we actually went on a pikey pone hunt and played in the park and you know what, I think someone had beat us to it. There were no pikey pones left in the park, and I couldn't reach the ones still on the trees.

BUT as we were driving back home we went past the train station and saw a whole lot of them on the side of the road.. so off we went and collected a huge bag full. we must have looked like deros or something rummaging through the bushes alongside of the road and the railway lines. Felicity was very excited that TWO trains went past us while we where collecting..

The next day we took the Pikey pones to Kinder and only one of them came back home decorated. it is stuffed with cotton wool and has some stars on top.. hee hee..

"You can go now mum"

I went to see the latest fab nobs show last night and the grandparents came around for babysitting.. as I was giving Claire the spiel about behaving and listening to what Grandma and Grandpa she told me you can go now mum, without looking up from her colouring in. also when i tried to give Felicity a hug good bye she pushed me and said show.

so off I went.

it was lovely and made me giggle..
I also got to eat some cheesles.. hhmm that looks weird.. cheesels.. cheezles.. cheezels.. hhmm not sure now...

I have been sleeping so much today.. oohh dear I think I need to get out and smell the fresh air..

been a long time since I last blogged..

so we went on our fabulous holiday extravaganza... and after about a week of me being kind of sick and queasy, we worked out that I was pregnant.. hoorah for new baby!!, boo hiss for feeling terrible for most of the holiday..

so basically I have been hiding out and am finally starting to get back into the real world now. but my email is broke at the moment.. Philby is being held for ransom and is not a happy camper..

hhmm time is just flying by now.. In fact I can't believe that we have been back for like 6-7 weeks.. waht can I say about the holiday.. if was fabulous even though we didn't get to see all the sights that we could of otherwise.. also with the small childrens we weren't going to be able to fit in some things.. they really were not interested..

some of the things that really got their attention was fountains.. there are no more fountains in melbourne.. in fact they have all been turned off even before Claire was born.. so it was very exciting for her to see fountains everywhere.. Also Statues were pretty exciting.. especially the naked ones in Strausbourg.. that was a big highlight of the trip.. well after seeing Mickey Mouse of course.

also the other night the girls were off with the grandparents and Claire declared to everyone that she had blue cheese in Paris.. oohh the grandparents were mighty proud.

I will have to comment in depth about the adventures we had.. but right now i think I need to get a mint magnum out of the freezer.. yummo..
