cooking potatoes..

I was a little late with dinner plans and the kiddies had to have left overs from the freezer, but I am planning on having some yummy roast potatoes, sweet potatoes and onions... bummer there is no carrots or bacon.. BUT I will smother it all with cheese once it has come out of the oven... mmmm.. melty cheese..

Apart from being rather tired from staying up late to wait for small baby to have drinks we did play nintendo and then this afternoon I was playing more nintendo... hhmm the poor children will be addicted to the thing soon.

I wonder what else I should have with dinner. perhaps a nice big chunk of meat. mmm.. meat.. oohh I also have leftover pizza.. mmm.. that might be a great side dish to the potatoes.. oohh I could make a salad, but that would require effort.

so yes there has been a baby, in case you missed it... Tristan Edmond

He was born on Monday 30th March 2009 at 6.37pm. weight of 4.13 kilos or 9lb 2 oz.

It was a rather extreme process where the ob came along and said, oh you are like 2-3 cms, I will see you in about 3-4 hours. and then 30 minutes later it was time for pushing.

hhm.. I was not impressed as I really wanted to have an epidural.. the anesthetist had just arrived and was quizzing me on if I was aware of stuff and then the midwife is like no its time to push and sent him away.. he did do something, he called the ob back ... Who missed the birth again.. oohh well..

so alls well that ends well..

Tristan is now putting on weight nicely.. there was a bit of shrinking there for a while as he didn't really behave himself in the drinking department. but we wet to the day clinic earlier this week and he has worked it out a bit better now.

At 5 days old he made his first international video call. It was very exciting..
He hasn't been making many appearances so far. we went to a birthday party and church and the Easter bunny didn't bring him anything.. so he has had a very exciting time..
