July 2009
Telly has gone mad.
so the other day I saw an ad for
"Dance Your Ass Off"
Oh yes its true..
Its a cross between The biggest loser and So you think you can dance.
I have only seen the first episode and was nearly in fits. These people are amazing.
I think they need to get some conversion subtitles for us simple folk who can't translate into metric real quick..
There was people who weighed 250 pounds and more dancing around doing the SPLITS!! yes the splits and booty shake things.. oh my gods they are so awesome..
I don't even know what all the dance terms are but it was pretty impressive..
I can't wait till next week to see what happens.. They will be doing disco!
oh and my favourite bit is that its all dependant on the weight loss and dance scores as to who gets eliminated, there is none of this voting alliances or anything. I love it.
'This is my house and it has many spikey trees'
The girls have been playing outside a lot lately, when its not raining anyway ... Claire has invented so many scenarios that are happening.. they have races with the bikes, even relays form the looks of it.. until Felicity cracks it and throws the stick into the bushes and Claire has to think up a new game.. there is the making ho chocolates game, having birthday parties, going to people houses.. which is when I looked out the front window the other day and Claire was leading Felicity into her house (a selection of bushes) and deciding that after their drink of hot chocolate they were then off to Felicity's house, on their bikes of course. Its so lovely that they can play like this. Most of the time their is niceness.. sometimes there is a little bit of "I want I want"
right now I can hear :
Shake them shake them shake them now, ...
And the leader of the day is..
STOP, STOP so now there is no leader of the day cos you didn't stop.
and of course there is the whirling squeek of the bike wheels going around and around..

I do not like ...
Felicity - I do not like this chicken, I do not like it.
Phil - Try it, try it, and you may, try it and you may I say.
Felicity - I like it, I do.
Felicity talks like this all the time now. There are many things that "I do not like "
I think we might have to cut back on the Dr Seuss books.
In case you are not aware this is the Green Eggs and Ham book.

raspberries
Tristan was making raspberries last night when I was putting him to bed. It was very exciting.. He hasn't really made noises like that before so I was giggling at him. Not very professional when I am trying to make him sleep.
He has also started to turn up onto his side while lying on his back so rolling shouldn't be too far away.
He is just so adorable.. every time I see him I smile.. I think I might be biased but he is so adorable.
we are so lucky to have such a well behaved child that sleeps, eats, grows and is happy almost all of the time.

What happens if all the people in the world die?
Yes thats what Claire asked us the other day.
Darn those Disney people with the third little Mermaid movie. Ariel's mother is killed in a boating accident in the first 5 mins..
a few weeks ago Phil and I were heading out to a 60th Birthday (yes we are getting old) and we had put that on while we were getting organised... Then Claire realised what death is and what it actually means.. She had asked a few times before about where my mum was etc, but this time she actually realised that people die and they are gone forever. there were quite a few tears and she was asking Phil if he was going to die.. oohh dear.. there was much hugging onto him and quite a bit of worry... so we eventually got her calmed down that we weren't going anywhere anytime soon (we hope!)
so the other day we got what happens if all the people in the world die? oohh dear..
we tried to explain that that would never happen, and we got BUT what happens if it does.. then I went with the new babies are born all the time approach and then we got BUT who will look after the babies if there aren't any more people.. In fact I can't remember how we settled it.
