November 2009
sitting up and crawling all over the house.
in he last few days Tristan has gone from holding himslef with one hand when sitting to sitting up and balancig all on his own..
He has also progressed from one crawl move to crawling all over the house, he can go from the lounge to the front door and has also gone from his room to the girls room..
Just then he was sitting up and clapping his hands together.. we haven't even tried clapping. he seems to have worked it out on his won...
very exciting.. I can't wait to see what he does next..
beads, burns and vomit...
SO today was a day of adventures.. Tristan managed to expel the bead that he had eaten last week... It was very exciting, but gross... I did not keep it or take a picture of it.. The girls were rather disopointed as they ddin't get to see it..
Last night Phil and I stayed up late playing new marion on the wii... oohh it was fabulous..
then when we were heading to bed at like 1am I checked in on the girls and oohh there was a terrible smell.. turned on the light and ohh.. Poor Felicity had vomited all over herself, the pillow, the bed and she was still asleep.. poor dear..
Phil had the great job of digging her out of bed and putting her in the shower.. I tell you it was so so so so so much vomit.. It looked like about 3 days worth of food... I got the job of strippping off the bad, wiping it all down and getting the clean sheets back on.. Tristan woke up by then and so I ended up cuddling him while Phil hosed out the vomits of the sheets.. eewww...
so this morning she was fine. until she was helping Phil with the garden and touched the hot mower, so now she has a burn on her right hand... its not too bad.. but after a few hours she was still all grumbly about it so we took her off to the dr clinic and now she is all creamed up and bandaged...
we are having so many adventures...
Phil's grandfather is in the hospital after suffering a stroke.. we are just waiting at the moment to see what is going to happen...

new neighbours..
Claire has been going to afternoon sessions at school as part of the transition program into prep.
There are a few people that I know, but basically by sight, not really to talk to.
There was a child that had been in kinder last year, but he had left before the year finished.. I saw the mother this week and I said hi to her, I remembered her but she didn't totally remember me.. anyway we were talking about the neighbourhood and all that stuff, and we talked about how I was moving etc and then we realised that the house I bought is next door to hers! we are going to be next door neighbours! she has 3 boys, 5, 3 and 2 months.. so our kids will be able to have some nice friends.. and we can have help with car pooling etc.

sitting up..
Over the weekend Tristan has been sitting up for a couple seconds at a time.. he has been swiveling when on his tummy and holding himself up with one hand, and now he has progressed to being upright.. this is very exciting..
he is also propelling himself forwards.. when up on his knees in the crawling motion he sort of catapults himself towards and then brings his self up under himself quickly to go again.
ohh and the xray was fine.. there was no foreign objects on the scan..HOORAH! relief that perhaps he didn't actually eat anything..
BUT then on Friday I had to take him to the dr;s again as he was all congested. I went to the dr we normally see (cos they were booked up last time) and so I recounted the whole thing to him and the first thing he said was that sometimes plastic beads don;t show up in the xrays... so oh then I was a bit worried again.. but he said it should pass fine and checked all the airways again.. hoorah!

a wobbly tooth
Claire this morning while eating breakfast informed me that she had a sore tooth.. I had a look and she showed me how it wobbled!! very exciting.. she is rather curios as to how this whole new teeth thing is going to happen.. but I am sure she will be an expert in no time...
we just have to wait and see when the wobbles develop into tooth loss.
I wonder what the tooth fairy will bring her!

Big scare today...
So Tristan was having a nice play on the floor and he made a vomit like noise. and then there was some coughing and choking and dry retching and by then I had grabbed him and tipped him upside down and there was more choking/coughing noise, but nothing had come out and then there was screaming hysteria... obviously he was able to breathe fine because of all the screaming, but oh my gods I was a bit hysterical by then...
then I looked to see what he could of been eating and there was a small bead near by, there had been two of them hanging around the place, they slide onto a bangle thing.. I looked and the other one was no where to be found..
I called phil at work and Tristan was still screaming and I was all ahahahha..
Phil got me to stop being hysterical because he was obviously fine.. so I took him off to the dr's afrter that and he should e just fine, it should pass right through.. I do however have to go in the morning to get him x-rayed to make sure that is dig go to the tummy and not to the lungs, but the dr checked his breathing and he had good air flow...
SO there should be nothing to worry about.. oohh dear.. . I think I need an ice cream to calm my nerves..
